Registered officials shall receive $1.00 per mile, one way, beginning with mile 51. Non-registered officials shall not receive a mileage allowance.
In all District Track and Field Tournaments in the Northeast District, the Referees (Running and Field), the Starters, the Head Umpire, the Head Place Judge, and the Head Timer shall be OHSAA registered officials.
Other personnel may be employed by the tournament manager as required to run a safe and efficient meet. These may include police, custodial help to prepare and clean-up site, ticket seller, gate keeper, trainer, etc.
All personnel receiving payment for an assignment must be paid directly by check from the tournament manager. An accounting of all paid personnel must be made to the Northeast District Board on the financial report received from the Board.
VIII. MANAGER'S FEE: The District Board has adopted the following Manager's fee for all Northeast District Track and Field Meets: $150.00 plus $7.50 for each participating team. The $150.00 fee is allowed for EACH boys and/or girls meet since each meet is scored separately.
IX. OTHER EXPENDITURES: The Northeast District Board requests that extremely sound judgment be used in the number of paid employees, the amount paid to each, and in the purchase of equipment and/or supplies. Tournament managers are not expected to pay excessive amounts to personnel or in the purchase of equipment necessary to run a safe and fair meet.
X. ORDER OF EVENTS: The order of events shall be run in accordance with the recommendations of the State Board of Control and the District Board.
XI. PRELIMINARY HEATS: In all Northeast District Track and Field Meets, when preliminary heats are run, such heats will be run in a balanced manner and in accordance with National Federation guidelines.
XIl. TROPHIES: Trophies will be awarded in the District Meets and will be ordered by the State office for delivery by the supplier to the respective tournament managers. Tournament managers are urged to open the trophy box immediately upon delivery for inspection. If awards are damaged or missing, tournament managers should call the OHSAA office immediately for additional awards. Call 614-267-2502.
