BOYS AND GIRLS BOWLING REGULATIONS
Team Competition
1. The team format for the Sectional Championships will consist of three (3) games of regular bowling followed by six (6) games of Baker format bowling. The sum total of all team scores will determine teams that advance to the District Championship.
2. Lanes for teams will be assigned based on a draw for lanes conducted at the mandatory sectional coaches meeting. Teams not in attendance at the mandatory section meeting will have lanes assigned by the Tournament Manager.
Regular 10-Pin Games (Lane assignment subject to facility considerations)
l. Each team will bowl three (3) regular games on one pair of lanes accompanied by another team.
2. Teams and non-alleviated individuals will be allowed fifteen (15) minutes of practice on their starting pair prior to the state of the first regular game.
Baker Games
1. Each team will bowl six (6) Baker games. The first 2 games immediately following the completion of the regular games on the same pair of lanes that the regular games were bowled. The teams will then flip lanes with a pair of lanes next to them to bowl the remaining our (4) Baker games accompanied by another team.
2. Each team will bowl a complete Baker came on the same single lane and will switch lanes on the same pair after each Baker game.
3. Ties for advancing teams will be broken by a 9th -10th frame roll-off conducted on a pair of lane selected by the tournament manager and bowled by one (1) bowler from each team selected by the head coach. See OHSAA rule 1:21a.
Individual Competition
l. Individual competition will consist of three (3) regular games of bowling conducted simultaneously during team game competition.
2. Individuals under consideration will be the participating members of each team and eligible non team-affiliated individuals representing schools without a team.
3. Non-affiliated individuals will be assigned to lanes by the Tournament Manager.
4. The sum score of the three (3) regular games bowled by individuals will determine advancement to the District Championship.
5. The three (3) highest scoring individuals not a member of an advancing team will advance to the District Championship.
6. Ties for advancing positions will be broken by high single game in the three (3) game series. See OHSAA rule 1:21b.
Additional Considerations
l. The OHSAA playing rules of bowling will govern this Tournament.
2. The Tournament Manager will be classified as the tournament official empowered to enforce OHSAA rules. If a rules infraction is observed, coaches are required to stop bowling and report infractions immediately to the Tournament Manager.
3. Only a school representative may report a rules infraction to the Tournament Manager.
4. One (1) lane courtesy will be observed during all competition.
5. Bowlers not in compliance with the OHSAA uniform rules will not be allowed to participate.
6. The lanes will not be re-oiled between the regular and Baker games.
Obligations
1. A board-approved school representative must accompany each participating team and non team-affiliated individual.
2. A. The cost for a team to participate in the Northeast District Sectional Championship is eighty dollars ($80.00) per team.
B. The cost for a non team-affiliated individual to participate in the Northeast District Sectional Championship is twelve dollars ($12.00).
C. The school representative must present payment as described prior to the start of participation.
3. The school representative is responsible for awareness of the OHSAA playing rules of bowling.
4. If a student bowls on the school team and participates in the Ohio High School Athletic Association sanctioned competition and tournaments. he/she cannot participate in a scholarship tournament or in non-interscholastic competition during the season after January 19, 2009. See OHSAA rule 1.8.

B. The manager will collect from each coach or school designee: Certificate of Eligibility, distribute rules and regulations for the tournament, collect a roster of the athletes participating from each school, and assign the bowling order of all participating schools. The Eligibility Certificate and roster of participating athletes must be in the hands of the manager prior to the start of the tournament.
C. The manager’s fee shall be Sectional boy and Girls Tournament - $150.00. For Districts the pay shall be Boy and Girl Tournament - $400.00.
6. Admission will be $6.00 per person ages 6 and up. The coach will be admitted free provided his name is on the pass list. Passes shall also be accepted from the Athletic Director, Principal, and Superintendent.
